Today at the press conference Defend Group officially presented for the automotive season 2006 another new device in the area of automotive security – Defend Hook. It is an independent electromechanical lock of the trunk and of the hood, which reliably protects not only expensive car parts in the engine compartment, but also objects stored in the trunk.
”Since we have been operating in the Czech market for more than 11 years, we know very well needs of Czech motorists and we try to response to them in a flexible way,“ said Ing. Pavel Vojtek, the General Manager of Defend Group. "Hand in hand with the technical development also value of some car parts grows, this is why we are introducing an innovation, which will reliably protect these expensive car parts,” added Pavel Vojtek.
The most often invaded areas are the engine compartment and the trunk of the vehicle. For motorists, who wished to protect these parts of the car, the offer so far included only mechanical protections with a classical cylinder lock. “These systems however were characterized by complicated installation and easily breakable control system,“ remarked Pavel Vojtek.
System Defend Hook is a unique electromechanical security of the car trunk and the car hood, which helps not only to protect expensive car parts as control unit, xenon headlights or car battery, but it also protects well the trunk with all stored objects. „Parts of the system Defend Hook are installed inside the car body, which means it is not possible to attack them from outside,“ added Pavel Vojtek.
The system Defend Hook consists of the lock, which is installed inside the car body, and therefore it cannot be attacked from outside. Installation is fully independent on other security devices and it also does not require any intervention in the car body. Defend Hook can be controlled either by the independent chip control from the driver’s seat, or by the gearshift lock Defend Lock. Defend Hook can be acquired as the independent hood lock, the independent trunk lock or the independent lock of the trunk and of the engine compartment.
