Defend has just introduced into the marketplace a worldwide innovation, the unique Defend Locator automobile security system, thanks to which vehicle theft shall be almost impossible. A unique system, it for the first time in history combines mechanical and satellite vehicle security, in which it differs from standard electronic vehicle location systems. It involves a simple yet sophisticated interconnection of a gearshift lock and a GPS/GSM system, which guards the automobile 24 hours a day.

Defend Locator is activated the moment the Defend Lock mechanical lock is locked. From this moment, the system is already variably guarding all available security zones of the vehicle, simultaneously with its position. All information regarding any changes is monitored and sent to the control centre.

The development and operation of Defend Locator joined the Defend brand with the company Altea, which secures the operation of an indispensable control centre, whose professional operators evaluate and transmit information about the vehicle under surveillance. The control centre evaluates the sent data and subsequently informs the owner or user of the vehicle. In serious cases, the information is immediately transmitted to the police, which the finds and secures the vehicle. At the same time, from the control centre it is possible to for example turn on the car horn, turn on the headlights or signal lights, start and kill the motor, in short to help localization and complicate the thieves’ activities.

Aside from through protection of the vehicle against theft, Defend Locator has one more big advantage. Thanks to constant information regarding the vehicle’s state, the control centre can practically immediately inform the police and emergency personnel in the event of a traffic accident, and thus contribute to immediate resolution of its consequences.

As a security system, Defend Locator is priced comparably to competing products in the area of post-theft locator systems, yet the basic price already includes all fees connected with a year of service. What’s more, the price also includes the Defend Lock gearshift lock.
