19.9.201015TH CAR WITHOUT BARRIER PROVIDED WITH DEFEND LOCK WILL HELP ANOTHER CHARITABLE ORGANISATIONS
Executives of „Konto BARIÉRY“ and hypermarket Globus handed over a special nine-seats car intended for the transport of disabled people to the Integrative centre „Zahrada“ from Prague 3. It is already 15th car financed from the project „Cars without barriers“, which was established in the year 2004. Defend Group company provided again this car with mechanical security device Defend Lock. Ceremonial act of handing over of the car was held on September the 19th 2010 in the garden of IC „Zahrada“ in Prague 3.
The project of „Konto BARIÉRY“ called „Cars without barriers“ is financed by the sales of shopping bags in hypermarkets Globus, namely by one Czech Crown from each sold shopping bag. This cooperation with „Konto BARIÉRY“ works from the year 2004. The sale of shopping bags has brought 11 000 000 Czech Crowns during the course of six years of the project functioning. Fourteen cars without barriers have been bought from this amount up to now and 15th car has left today.
The donee, the Integrative centre „Zahrada“, is a social welfare institution, which was established in the year 1992 as one of the first alternatives of the social care institutions. The Integrative centre is attended by the children in the age from 6 to 26 years with combined handicaps, especially with a mental retardation diagnosis of different levels. The vast majority of the children have got an epilepsy. This serious mental and locomotive handicap demands an everyday individual pedagogic and rehabilitative care which is ensured in a daily scope of activities of the social welfare institution and in a newly established protected workroom in Dolní Počernice. The Integrative centre does organize also the stays for the client families, trips to the seaside resorts and daily actions. There are 36 children in the social welfare institutions at present and just for their needs will be the car used.
The handover of the car took place on September the 16th 2010 from 10 am in the Integrative centre „Zahrada“ in Prague 3 with the participation of vice mayor of Prague 3 Mgr.Martin Benda, executive of Globus company Mr. Boris Malý, director of Konto „BARIÉRY“ Mrs. Božena Jirků and other dear guests.
