Defend Group has prepared for all of their major business partners and golf lovers a traditional golf tournament. This year's tournament, this time called "Defend Golf Invitational 2010" was held on the 5th October, 2010 on the championship golf course Prague City Golf Club in Prague 5 Zbraslav.
"Organization of Defend golf tournaments for our important partners, not only automotive ones, has become for us an important tradition in which we will keep on. Our aim is so that we all would spend a pleasant day in an informal, friendly and sporting atmosphere. Judging by the reactions of participants, I can say that we have succeeded ... " said with a smile on his face Milan Vasicek - executive director of Defend Group.
The check-in started at 8 am at the reception. Immediately after registration golfers were welcomed by the traditional Defend Moravian plum brandy. An autumnal morning was cold and warming up by the "welcome drink" before the tournament no one refused. After a hearty breakfast, the first flight went to the launch. The tournament started at 9 am by the sequential start from hole No. 1 and 12 flights started in total.
For beginners we prepared together with an excellent professional golf coach Slava Syřiště a varied program of golf academy. Our business partners and colleagues had the opportunity to see Zbraslav´s course, and also gained useful tips and information about basic equipment for golfers in the local shop. In addition, they learned the basics and rules of golf, they had the possibility to try their first shots on driving range and chipping.. Finally we have organized the competition in putting with interesting prizes. Even though the weather showed its fall face ,the cold did not deter anyone and all players threw themselves into learning with great enthusiasm and taste.
Around 4 pm golfers gradually began returning from the course. In the club's restaurant there were prepared delicious snacks for them. The tournament was finished at 5 pm and after calculation of all the results the ceremony took place with announcement of winners in each category and entered competitions.
All the winners took away a commemorative trophy and a nice practical golf prizes. After the ceremony, all participants started off happily to their homes.
