Carquest reliably guards your automobile 24 hours a day
On May 1, 2006, leading companies in the area of automobile security and protection, Defend Group, Spectrotec and Undercoverlock Europe launched the joint Carquest project. The goal of this project is to secure comprehensive security and monitoring services that are the fundamental pillar of satellite and radio location security systems. In so doing, Carquest guards vehicles 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, covering the entire territory of Europe.
„The Carquest project is unique primarily in the fact that participating in it are companies with significant experience in the field of automobile security and protection,“ stated Pavel Milos, executive head of the company Carquest Europe. „The result of their collective efforts is an offering of comprehensive automobile protection making use of anti and post-theft systems including monitoring services,“ added Pavel Milos.
Carquest Europe’s dispatch centre is active 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, so a vehicle equipped with the protective satellite system is constantly under supervision. Even in spite of this, the company respects the right to privacy. „Our systems constantly monitor the vehicle’s position, but dispatch personnel actively monitor the vehicle only in the case of an alarm from the control unit,“ elaborated Pavel Milos. The vehicle’s owner can however actively monitor his vehicle at any time via the internet.
Carquest's pilot project is securing the operation of the Defend Locator satellite locator system from Defend Group. Defend Group offers this security system in several varieties, including possible interconnection with other security systems in its portfolio, which are Defend Lock, Defend Alarm, Defend Cargo and this year’s new product, Defend Hook.
The other partners, Undercoverlock Europe s.r.o. and Spectrotec Ltd., belong amongst the leaders in the development and manufacture of the most up-to-date satellite systems. This is why Undercoverlock Europe is supplying software for the location and monitoring of vehicle movement, and Spectrotec Ltd. is supplying control units for the satellite systems used.
Thanks to the knowledge and rich experience of the companies that have come on boar the Carquest project, customers are able to obtain a truly effective means of securing their vehicle. „The offered systems use the most up-to-date technologies, which enable not only the monitoring of movement and vehicle location, but are also able to gather, process and make us of this data for further use,“ added Pavel Milos.
