Defend Group company is a longtime partner of charity project „Cars without barriers“. In cooperation with Konto BARIÉRY this partnership gave rise already the 13th high-capacity car provided with mechanical security device Defend Lock. Executives of Konto BARIERY have chosen the presentee, who is the civil Association of parents and friends of handicapped children in Czech Republic, Club Jablonec nad Nisou. The handover of the car took place in Spolkový dům in Jablonec on May the 5th 2009.
The project of „Konta BARIÉRY“, which is called „Cars without barriers“, is financed by the sales of shopping bags in hypermarket Globus, namely by one Czech Crown of each sold shopping bag. This partnership with Konto BARIÉRY does work from the year 2002. The sale of shopping bags has brought 9 107 055 Czech Crowns during last 7 years and brought 12 specially modified cars. Now the 13th car has left.
The association of parents and friends of handicapped children in Czech Republic, Club Jablonec nad Nisou, ensures in the mountain terrain, which is very bad drivable in winter, transportation of stricken children into the school in Jablonec nad Nisou, where the children study in auxiliary and rehabilitative classes. It transports the children to the school at the House of Dr. Jedlička in Liberec, where they are visiting special classes without barriers. To all participants was given the sincerely thanks from Mrs. Zikmundová, chairwoman of civil Association of parents and friends of handicapped children in Czech Republic: “This service is not only the help to the parents of handicapped children, but it is very important benefit to the children theirselves. The final effect is much higher school attendance,” says the chairwoman Mrs. Zikmundová.
Forwarding of the car took place in Jablonec in Spolkový dům on May the 5th at 11.00 o´clock with the participation of representatives of Konta BARIÉRY, Association of Parents and Friends of handicapped children in Czech Republic Club Jablonec nad Nisou, burgomaster of Jablonec nad Nisou Mr. Tulpa, marketing director of Globus company Mr. Malý, representatives of sponsors and other dear guests.
